Using alcohol inks can be a fun way to use colors and create backgrounds for stamping or cardmaking. You can also use alcohol inks in painting and to add color to different surfaces such as glass and metals.
Alcohol inks are an acid-free, highly-pigmented, and fast drying medium to be used on non-porous surfaces”. (So not regular paper!) In this workshop you’ll watch the instructor demo different ways to layer, maneuver, and blend alcohol ink on yupo “paper”. Yupo is a plastic based paper so it is not absorbent. After the quick demo you’ll have free time to try some of the techniques and experiment with a variety of colors.
You’ll take home two 5x7 paintings and one larger size. As a bonus you’ll get to pick your favorite 5x7 and take it home matted and in a clear sleeve ready to present as a gift or frame.
This is not your typical paint class. These classes have been created to help introduce curious creatives with easy mediums to dabble in without the expense of collecting supplies. You will not be walked through each step to create identical paintings, but be free to play and see what happens.
All materials are provided for the class.
All participants receive 25% off to shop the day of the class
